Prof. L.M. Pasiyeshvili, PHD N.M. Zheleznyakova, PHD T.M. Pasiyeshvili. Kharkiv National Medical University. Department of General Practice — Family Medicine and Internal Diseases.

Modern data on the prevalence and mechanisms of formation of a food allergy is shown. The factors that trigger its manifestation are shown. Products that contribute to the highest frequency of its appearance are given. Pathogenetic links of food allergies in children are shown. Dietary and pharmacological methods of correction are given.

Key Words: food allergy, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment
