The metabolism of vitamin D, the mechanisms of influence on various body systems, as well as the factors causing its deficiency are considered. The effectiveness of correcting vitamin D deficiency was assessed by comparing therapy with different doses of cholecalciferol, which made it possible to determine the optimal treatment regimens for reducing cardiovascular risk.
