Ultrasound imaging of gastric antrum cancer

The article presents the results of ultrasound examination in the diagnosis of gastric antral cancer in 43 patients. The diagnosis was established as a result of complex endoscopic, radiological, computed tomography and histological studies of biopsy material. Ultrasound revealed gastric antral cancer in 41 (95.3%) cases. Ultrasound failed to diagnose gastric cancer in 2 cases: in one case, stage T1 and in one case, stage T2. Pyloric stenosis was diagnosed in 18 (41.9%) patients with gastric antral carcinoma: in 8 (18.6%) cases, it was compensated, in 10 (20.5%) — subcompensated.
