Description of the plage in the works of fiction in antiquity and the middle ages.

Based on the analysis of the works of Thucydides, Lucretius Carus, Boccaccio and Daniel Defoe, the article shows the possibility of using some data on plague epidemics from the 5th century BC until the 17th century by the modern historians of medicine.
