This article presents a systematic study of the development of medical technologies used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of arterial hypertension (AH) from the 17th century to the 1940s. It examines the evolution of blood pressure (BP) measurement techniques and their clinical application. The development of pharmacotherapy and preventive programs is explored. The stages of development of the technical means used to study blood circulation during the period under study are substantiated.
