Modern medical education requires the integration of practical skills at the early stages of training. One of the most promising approaches is bedside ultrasound diagnostics (POCUS). The article presents the experience of the Ukrainian FOCUS POCUS Ultrasound Academy, which has trained over 3,000 students and doctors. Structured training included a 1:3 trainer-student ratio, the principle of «30 minutes of theory — 30 minutes of practice», the use of clinical cases and reflective questions at the end of classes. Special attention was paid to empathy, patient comfort and the development of clinical thinking.
Key words: POCUS, ultrasound, medical education, practical skills.
