Contribution of Ukrainian scientists to the arsenal of pharmaceuticals in the conditions of World War II

The article shows the participating researches of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in providing the army with medical care during World War II. Ukrainian scientists taught at the Bashkir Medical Institute, worked in hospitals, and together with Bashkir colleagues developed new drugs and effective methods of treating the wounded, and were engaged in the prevention of infections. The contribution of native chemists, botanists, biologists, microbiologists, and physicians became an essential component of the future victory.
