The main causes of trace element imbalances were indicated. Daily requirements of essential trace elements and dietary recommendations have been discussed. The types of microelementoses were identified. The characteristic of the essential microelementoses was given. The interaction of chemical elements in their simultaneous admission was described. The description of the major groups of microelementoses has been made.
