Kharkiv National Medical University <\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The article presents the history of the finds of artificially deformed skulls in Ukraine, archaeological unexpected remains in ancient Sarmatian burials near the Cimmerian Bosporus, Chersonese and Naples Scythian.<\/p>\n

The role of the professor – anatomist and anthropologist, founder of the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Crimean Medical Institute Viktor Volodymyrovych Bobin (1890-1973) is shown.<\/p>\n

The monograph of Viktor V. Bobin “Artificially deformed skulls found during excavations in Crimea” (1957) is analyzed.<\/p>\n

A modern anthropological study of several artificially deformed ancient skulls stored at the Kharkiv National Medical University is conducted.<\/p>\n
