Oparin <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian Humanitarian Institute<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian Academy of the History of Medicine<\/p>\n<p>The work shows that the system of the scholastic principle of teaching was developed and introduced into the system of teaching at medieval universities by the state church in order to approve its dogmas and teachings. It has been proven that the system of scholasticism, based on the deductive method, proclaimed the need to prove the concepts and ideas already approved by the church, without thereby implying any scientific research in principle.<\/p>\n<p>It is shown that scholasticism introduced mystical and occult ideas into university teaching, which displaced the already very modest medieval scientific developments.
