Comorbidity fully refers to the concept of &#8220;metabolic syndrome&#8221;. By definition, metabolic syndrome (MS) is a complex of interrelated clinical, metabolic and hormonal disorders caused by the dysregulation of various genes, the influence of external environmental factors, associated with increased cardiovascular risk, and an increase in overall mortality.
