Korzh<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kharkiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The article discusses approaches to the assessment of diagnostic tests to confirm or exclude the disease. The reliability of various diagnostic methods is evaluated in special studies, where the studied method is compared with the reference one. If the results are the same, then these are: truly positive results (there is a disease and the test confirms it) or true negative (there is no disease and the test excludes it).
