\nThe article examines the formation and development of medical faculties of modern universities, which are built mainly on the model of Jesuits or Protestants. A comparative study of these two models was conducted, based on both completely opposite ideology and the structure and organization of the educational process. The Jesuit model of university construction was based on the separation of the concept of science from morality, the dominance of Jesuit scholasticism, the existence of “Indexes of Forbidden Books”, contempt for experimental science, the university program itself was subject to church Jesuit dogmas. church, the dominance of teaching on the external religious form, restricting the rights and freedoms of students and teachers, the transformation of universities as hotbeds of superstition, lack of anatomical research, the dominance of medieval ideas about the disease, the dominance of medieval methods of treatment, the proclamation of Galen, Aristotle. At the same time, the Protestant model of universities was based on the principles of the inseparability of science and morality, the rejection of scholasticism, the absence of religious censorship in science, the presence of experimental science, the university program with the development of science, research was tested experimentally, non-discrimination on religious grounds, freedom of academic thought and program, dominance in teaching the inner spiritual content, respect for the rights and freedoms of students and teachers, rejection of superstition and bigotry, the presence of anatomical research, scientific study of the disease, development of treatment methods based on scientific ideas.<\/p>\n
